Platforms, digitalisation and the future of work - buzzwords and at the same time tangible realities for a steadily growing number of workers. Trade unions as interest groups are thus faced with new challenges due to the difficult accessibility of workers; but, even more so due to the legal grey area in which many platforms operate.This complex of topics will be discussed on 29.9. and 30.9.2022 in Vienna at the conference "Fair Work, Fair Future - Rethinking Platforms, Unions & Workplace" with international guests and experts from politics, platform economy, trade unions and self-organised initiatives.
The focus on the first day of the conference is on the classification and scope of current developments from an Austrian and European perspective as well as discussions from the world of work. The second day is planned for practical exchange and networking between the trade unions and "best practice" examples from all over Europe in order to learn from each other and help shape a fair future.
